Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator should know about drayage movements from US/Canada ports to final destinations. He/She will find carriers, schedule pickup, and delivery appointments, follow up on load movements, and two-way communication to ensure high effectiveness both with vendors and truckers.

The person working in this position will excel at getting competitive prices and extending the carrier base and will be responsible for all steps of drayage operations, from arranging the drayage to entering work orders for the warehouse, billing, and paperwork.

The successful candidate will keep in touch with the customers to ensure communication and shipment status updates are on track. So, he/she must have an agile and detail-oriented personality with aggressive operations efforts to run day-to-day truck operations.

You will be responsible for managing the transportation of goods for clients. This involves negotiating rates with carriers, scheduling shipments, tracking shipments, and resolving any issues that may arise during transit.

:

• Negotiate rates with carriers to ensure competitive pricing for clients.
• Schedule and coordinate shipments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Track shipments to monitor progress and ensure on-time delivery.
• Resolve any issues that may arise during transit, including delays, damages, and other unforeseen events.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates on the status of their shipments and address any concerns or questions they may have.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail are also essential for coordinating pickups and deliveries.
• Additionally, familiarity with local routes and regulations, as well as good customer service skills, are valuable assets in this role.

Qualifications:

• Worked in OTR/Drayage for a minimum of 1-5 Years
• Excellent communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?80,000.00 per month
