Job Overview:

A Freight Broker is responsible for coordinating the transportation of goods between shippers and carriers by acting as an intermediary. This position requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and an in-depth understanding of logistics, regulations, and transportation networks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client and Carrier Relationship Management:
• Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to secure business.
• Negotiate rates, service terms, and conditions with carriers and clients.
• Communicate with clients regularly to provide updates and ensure satisfaction.
• Shipment Coordination:
• Organize the transportation of goods, including scheduling pick-ups and deliveries.
• Ensure the correct documentation (e.g., Bill of Lading, shipping instructions) is completed and accurate.
• Track and trace shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution:
• Address and resolve issues such as delays, damaged goods, or disputes between clients and carriers.
• Work with insurance providers in case of cargo loss or damage.
• Compliance and Documentation:
• Ensure all shipments comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of all transactions, including rate confirmations, contracts, and bills of lading.
• Market Research and Business Development:
• Research and stay updated on industry trends, carrier performance, and pricing strategies.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth and expansion.
• Invoicing and Payment Management:
• Handle billing processes with clients and carriers, ensuring timely payment and accurate invoicing.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and manage accounts receivable.
• Technology Utilization:
• Use transportation management systems (TMS) and other software to track shipments, maintain client records, and manage documentation.

Requirements: 1 Year of experience as a freight broker.

Commission: Upto 35%

Shift Timings: 6:30 PM - 3:30 AM
