Job Title: Geo Sales Surveyor for Customer Mapping

Reports To: Sales officer/Owner

Job Summary: The Geo Sales Surveyor for Customer Mapping will be responsible for conducting geographical surveys and collecting data to create detailed maps of customer locations. This role involves fieldwork to gather accurate data and office-based analysis to generate comprehensive customer maps. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geography, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in various environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Geographical Surveying and Data Collection:
• Conduct field surveys to gather geographical data on customer locations using GPS and other mapping tools.
• Visit customer sites to collect accurate location data and relevant geographical information.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity during the collection process.
• Customer Mapping and Analysis:
• Develop detailed maps that accurately represent customer locations and distribution.
• Analyze spatial data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for market expansion.
• Create visual representations of customer data for use in sales and marketing strategies.
• Route and Territory Planning:
• Assist in the planning and optimization of sales routes based on customer location data.
• Identify potential new sales territories and recommend strategies for coverage.
• Collaborate with the sales team to improve route efficiency and customer reach.
• Data Management and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of survey data and customer location information.
• Generate reports and presentations on customer mapping findings and insights.
• Provide regular updates to the sales manager, officer and the owner.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to understand their needs and provide geographical insights.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure alignment on goals and strategies.
• Provide training and support to sales representatives on using customer maps and understanding geographical data.
• Technology and Tools:

Use google maps for collecting coordinates and collecting customer related informations.

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in surveying and mapping technologies.
• Ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of surveying equipment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geomatics, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in geographical surveying, customer mapping, or a similar role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Capability to walk, stand, and navigate different terrains for extended periods.
• Capacity to lift and carry surveying equipment as needed.

Work Environment:

• Mix of office-based and fieldwork.
