Job Title: Melting Incharge
Role Overview:
The Melting Incharge will oversee the induction melting furnace operations, ensuring each heat is produced using the correct batch mix. The role involves working with raw material reports, creating precise batches, monitoring the melting process, and making adjustments to meet the required chemical composition.
Key Responsibilities / Batch Preparation:
• Review raw material reports to create accurate batch mixes for each heat.
• Use Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets to calculate and record batch details.
Melting Process:
• Start the melting process using the prepared batch mix.
• Monitor the melt as it progresses to 70%.
Sampling and Adjustments:
• Take a sample of the melt at 70% and analyse it.
• Make necessary modifications to achieve the required composition.
• Take a final sample before pouring to ensure quality standards.
Record-Keeping:
Maintain proper documentation of raw materials, batch mixes, and results using Excel or Google Sheets.
Qualifications / Education:
Diploma or ITI in Metallurgy, Foundry Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in steel melting or furnace operations preferred.
Skills:
• Good knowledge of operating induction melting furnaces.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for creating batch mixes and recording data.
• Understanding of raw material analysis and adjustments during the melting process.
Work Conditions:
On-site position at the steel foundry.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
