We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join Bayer Global Business Services (GBS) team as a PLM Formulation Data Enrichment Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and structuring formulation data and Bill of Materials (BoM) into Bulk General recipes for Bayers products (Pharma, Crop Science and Consumer Health products) within SAP PLM system. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the accuracy and completeness of formulations data to support our product manufacturing and regulatory compliance efforts. A strong background in chemistry or pharmacology, excellent research skills, and proficiency in Excel are essential for success in this position.ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review documents, such as product specifications (divisional systems), safety data sheets (SDS), and product dossiers, to extract relevant formulation information.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of formulations and properties to ensure accuracy, completeness to meet the industry and regulation requirements e.g. nutritional claim, allergen, diet suitability etc.
  • Enter and organize formulation data in Excel spreadsheets, following established formats and guidelines.
  • Create bulk general recipes using Bill of Materials (BOM) from ERP to ensure seamless data transfer between product development and manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, regulatory, product supply, and quality control, to address data-related inquiries and provide accurate and timely information.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of the best data management practices.
  • Develop and implement best practices for data governance following GxP documentation requirements.
  • Support data migration, cleansing, and validation efforts for new formulations, raw materials, and product updates.
  • Troubleshoot data-related issues and support system enhancements to improve data management efficiency.
  • Provide training and guidance to Bayer cross-functional teams on best practices for formulation data handling.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection protocols throughout the data enrichment process.
WHO YOU ARE:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, pharmacology or a related scientific field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience working with chemical ingredients and formulations, preferably in a consumer health, pharmaceutical, or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical and formulation nomenclature, properties, and interactions.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding scientific technical documents, including safety data sheets (SDS), certificates of analysis (CoA), product dossiers and product specifications.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and guidelines governing consumer health, pharmaceutical and crop science products.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from multiple sources.
  • Ability to organize and manipulate data in Microsoft Excel
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present data-driven insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with SAP PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software is an advantage, but not a mandatory requirement.
