• At Blue Apps, we write news/news you can use and produce media apps for overseas markets. Our team includes a passionate bunch who write content which is concise, compelling and relevant across news, sports, entertainment, infotainment and Christian - and growing - genres for the smartphone generation.

• If you want a media career into the future, and love sports, especially football, this is the job for you. You'll learn about what is really news, and so much more. And there is an excellent career growth path plus you will also learn about new media technologies.

• We require candidates with up to 2 years' experience in the content field to write football (and rugby union, rugby league, wrestling, BUT not cricket, badminton, golf, F1, tennis or American sports) news across all major leagues and tournaments for mobile phone users (the core market is 18-35 year-olds). Writers with more than 2 years' experience can also apply while fresh graduates must have a degree in journalism.
+ You must know what is news - we'll find out when you do our test.
+ You must be crazy about football and sports, and love the celebrity aspect of sport and follow top stars and all major leagues and tournaments (this is the job for you if you are like us and don't know what to do when there is no football on).
+ You must have very good English writing skills to be able to write and compress the content into snippets of 320 characters or less (this is the hardest part of the job).
+ You must be a positive and honest person with a can-do attitude, wanting to explore and learn - don't tell us you're passionate about football and then we find out you don't watch the match of the day because you need your beauty sleep.
+ A good sense of humour would be a bonus.
