Position Overview The Food Service Specialist is responsible for taking customer orders, preparing menu items, and/or packaging of the food product for the store while maintaining the high standards of the restaurant/store and displaying a friendly attitude. Job Duties Follow health and safety guidelines for food storage and handling. Prep food product for the day Learn hot/cold times and temperatures for each food item. Make sandwiches, burgers, and chicken as applicable per store location. Operate kitchen machinery, slicer, mixer, fryers, fryer safety, packaging machine. Receive and inspect product in. Accurately package and label product. (Food dating). Follow HACCP programs, including verification and documentation of product. Follow daily cleaning schedules and sanitation procedures. Maintain inventory and proper rotation of product. Skills/Abilities Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to reach, stoop and bend frequently. Some food service experience preferred. Able to follow multi-step directions. Requirements Must be 18 years old. High school diploma or GED preferred. Must complete food safety class within 90 days of hire date.
