Food Takeaway Counter Helper(MALE) Job Overview:

A Food Takeaway Counter Helper plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of a takeaway counter by assisting customers with their orders, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and supporting the kitchen staff. This position requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to multitask and a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:
• Greet customers as they arrive at the counter.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Provide information about menu items, specials, and promotions.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints courteously.
• Order Processing:
• Accurately enter orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Ensure orders are correctly assembled and packaged for takeaway.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
• Payment Handling:
• Process payments, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.
• Provide customers with accurate receipts and change.
• Balance the cash register at the end of the shift.
• Cleanliness and Organization:
• Maintain a clean and tidy counter area, including countertops, equipment, and display cases.
• Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Restock takeaway supplies, such as napkins, utensils, and packaging materials.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor stock levels of takeaway supplies and report shortages to the supervisor.
• Assist in receiving and organizing inventory deliveries.
• Ensure all food items are stored properly and within the expiry dates.
• Team Support:
• Collaborate with kitchen and other staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in training new employees as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Skills:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
