Job Description

Conduct detailed analysis of food and beverage costs, including ingredients, packaging, and other related expenses.

Regularly review and update cost calculations based on market fluctuations and supplier pricing.

Oversee the inventory control process for food and beverage items.

Implement systems to monitor stock levels, minimize waste, and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Collaborate with the culinary team to accurately cost menu items.

Provide insights on pricing strategies to maintain profitability while offering value to customers.

Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and vendors to optimize procurement costs.

Monitor supplier contracts and agreements to ensure compliance.

Conduct regular variance analysis to compare actual costs with budgeted costs.

Investigate significant variances and recommend corrective actions.

Assist in the development of budgets for the food and beverage department.

Provide financial forecasts and contribute to the budgeting process.

Prepare and present regular financial reports related to food and beverage costs.

Communicate financial insights to senior management for decision-making

Implement cost control strategies to optimize operational efficiency.

Identify areas for cost reduction and work collaboratively with department heads to implement improvements.

Conduct training sessions for staff to raise awareness about cost control measures.

Foster a culture of financial responsibility and cost consciousness within the food and beverage team.

Develop and enforce internal policies related to cost control and financial management.

Work closely with the culinary team to understand recipe costs and ensure accurate cost calculations.

Collaborate on menu engineering and product substitutions for cost optimization.

Identify opportunities for process improvement within the food and beverage cost control functions.

Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
