Food and Beverage Intern


As a Food and Beverage Intern at the Corporate Office of an international luxury hotel chain, you will work closely with the corporate F&B team to support strategic initiatives, development, and analysis of F&B operations across the hotel portfolio. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the behind-the-scenes operations of F&B management at a global scale, focusing on brand standards, innovation, performance metrics, and industry trends.





What will I be doing?


As the Food and Beverage Intern, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:


1. Data Analysis and Reporting:


• Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to F&B performance (e.g., sales, guest satisfaction, costs).


• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting trends and insights.


• Support in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for various hotel properties globally.


2. Market Research and Trend Analysis:


• Conduct research on current F&B trends, competitive benchmarking, and consumer preferences.


• Assist in identifying opportunities for menu innovation, sustainability practices, and guest experience enhancements.


• Prepare summaries of market research findings to support strategic decision-making.


3. Support Brand Standards and Development:


• Assist the corporate F&B team in ensuring that all properties are aligned with the brand's F&B standards and guidelines.


• Participate in the development and revision of F&B menus, concepts, and service protocols.


• Collaborate with the culinary and design teams on projects related to new restaurant openings, refurbishments, and rebranding initiatives.


4. Coordination and Project Management:


• Assist in managing F&B-related projects across various departments, including finance, marketing, and operations.


• Coordinate with hotel properties to collect information and ensure timely execution of initiatives.


• Support the organization of corporate F&B events, such as tastings, product launches, and internal conferences.


5. Innovation and Sustainability Initiatives:


• Contribute to sustainability efforts by researching eco-friendly practices in the F&B industry, such as waste reduction, local sourcing, and sustainable packaging.


• Assist in developing initiatives that promote corporate responsibility within the F&B department.


6. Operational and Strategic Support:


• Work closely with the corporate team to understand and improve operational efficiencies within the F&B departments at various hotels.
• Assist in developing training materials, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practice guides for hotel F&B teams.
• Support internal communication related to F&B updates, ensuring that key stakeholders are informed of new strategies, changes, and developments.

• Enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.


• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.


• Interest in the luxury F&B sector, with knowledge of global hospitality trends.


• Excellent communication and presentation skills.


• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.


• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
