• Supervising Service Staff:
• Lead and oversee a team of servers and waitstaff during their shifts.
• Train and mentor new servers, ensuring they follow service standards and procedures.
• Ensure all staff are well-presented, courteous, and provide excellent service to guests.
• Guest Interaction and Service:
• Act as the primary point of contact for guests in the dining area.
• Greet guests, explain the menu, answer questions about food and beverage options, and make recommendations.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate the flow of orders from the kitchen to the table, ensuring timely service.
• Order Management:
• Oversee the accuracy of food and beverage orders.
• Ensure that orders are delivered to the correct tables and that they meet quality standards.
• Maintain a clear communication line with kitchen and bar staff to expedite orders.
• Maintaining Service Standards:
• Ensure that the restaurant's service standards and policies are being followed by the team.
• Monitor service during busy times to ensure a smooth operation and quick response to any issues.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including table settings, silverware, and glassware.
• Upselling and Promoting Menu Items:
• Encourage servers to upsell high-margin items and promote specials.
• Promote wine pairings, dessert options, and other menu items to increase sales.
• Monitoring Staff Performance:
• Evaluate server performance, provide feedback, and handle performance issues.
• Report any issues related to service, staff, or guest experience to management.
• Assisting with Inventory Management:
• Keep track of inventory for food and beverages, reporting low stock levels to management.
• Help manage stock levels during busy periods and special events.
• Handling Payments:
• Oversee the handling of payments, including processing credit cards, cash, and other transactions.
• Ensure that checks are correct and processed accurately.
• Coordination with Management:
• Communicate guest feedback, staff performance, and any operational issues to restaurant management.
• Assist in planning and executing special events or private parties within the restaurant.
Skills and Qualifications:
