Position Title : Food and Beverage Attendant
Reports To : Food and Beverage Manager / Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
• Guest Service :
• Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus, making them feel comfortable and attended to.
• Order Management :
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, suggesting options if needed, and ensure any dietary restrictions or preferences are noted.
• Communicate orders clearly to the kitchen and bar to ensure timely preparation.
• Menu Knowledge and Recommendations :
• Be knowledgeable about the menu, including ingredients, preparation styles, and daily specials.
• Provide recommendations when asked and answer any guest inquiries regarding menu items.
• Serving Food and Beverages :
• Serve orders promptly, maintaining appropriate presentation and portion control.
• Refill beverages and ensure that guests have everything they need during their meal.
• Table Maintenance :
• Monitor tables to ensure they are kept clean and well-stocked.
• Clear used dishes, utensils, and glassware throughout service, resetting the table as needed.
• Handling Payments :
• Present bills to guests, handle payments accurately, and process credit card or cash transactions.
• Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and balance transactions at the end of the shift.
• Maintaining Cleanliness and Hygiene :
• Ensure all work areas, including tables and floors, are clean and well-organized.
• Follow proper hygiene standards and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Assisting in Set-Up and Take-Down :
• Help set up tables, buffets, and other serving stations for service or special events.
• Assist with breakdown and cleanup after service or events.
• Team Collaboration :
• Work closely with other team members, including kitchen staff and other attendants, to ensure seamless service.
• Assist colleagues during peak hours and help handle any unexpected issues to keep the service smooth.
• Responding to Guest Needs :
• Anticipate and respond to guest requests promptly.
• Handle complaints or issues with a positive attitude and escalate to a supervisor if necessary.
