: FMCG Delivery Driver

Position Title: FMCG Delivery Driver
Department: Logistics/Operations
Location: Raurkela
Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Timely Delivery of Goods:
• Safely transport FMCG products to customers, including retailers and wholesalers, as per the assigned routes and schedules.
• Ensure all deliveries are accurate and completed on time.
• Loading and Unloading:
• Assist in the loading and unloading of goods to and from the vehicle, ensuring products are handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Customer Interaction:
• Provide excellent customer service during delivery, handling queries or issues professionally.
• Collect and confirm customer signatures or delivery proofs for delivered products.
• Vehicle Maintenance:
• Ensure the delivery vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition.
• Report any maintenance issues or breakdowns to the fleet manager immediately.
• Documentation and Payment Handling:
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including invoices, receipts, and stock counts.
• Collect payments from customers when required and ensure proper reconciliation at the end of the day.
• Adherence to Policies:
• Follow all company policies, including safety protocols, traffic regulations, and operational guidelines.
• Handle goods and documents with confidentiality and care.

Key Requirements:

• Education & Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as a delivery driver in FMCG or related sectors is preferred.
• Skills & Attributes:
• Ability to navigate efficiently using maps or GPS devices.
• Good communication and basic problem-solving skills.
• Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks.
• Technical & Physical Requirements:
• Valid driver's license for [vehicle type] with a clean driving record.
• Familiarity with local routes and traffic laws.
• Basic literacy for maintaining records and documents.
• Other:
• Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings, or weekends if required.
