• Team Management : A Floor Supervisor is responsible for managing and leading a team of employees who work on the floor. This includes assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, and monitoring performance to ensure that team members meet performance standards.
• Customer Service : They ensure that high levels of customer service are maintained at all times. This involves assisting customers with inquiries, addressing complaints or concerns, and ensuring that customers have a positive experience.
• Floor Operations : They oversee day-to-day floor operations, including opening and closing procedures, maintaining cleanliness and organization, restocking shelves or displays, and ensuring that merchandise is presented effectively.
• Training and Development : They provide training to new team members and ongoing development opportunities for existing staff. This may include coaching on customer service techniques, product knowledge, and operational procedures.
• Performance Monitoring : A Floor Supervisor monitors the performance of team members and provides regular feedback to help improve performance and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
• Inventory Management : They may be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, conducting stock counts, and coordinating with other departments to ensure that merchandise is replenished in a timely manner.
• Safety and Security : They ensure that safety protocols and procedures are followed to maintain a safe working environment for both employees and customers. They may also be responsible for security measures, such as preventing theft or loss prevention.
