- To ensure right materials at right time and always of right quality.
- To strengthen RM Purchase Function by incorporating the strategic procurement tools like Joint Negotiation, Collaboration with CPC, Reverse e-auction etc. and bringing the synergy for smooth working of the whole function.Job Context & Major ChallengesJob Context:
\xef\x83\x98 To ensure continuous and uninterrupted supply of Raw Materials like Charcoal, Hydrated Lime, Caustic, Hypo, PET Strap, Imported & Indigenous Chemicals and Packing Materials (Bags) etc. to Fiber Process Plant, SPG, CS2 & Acid, WTP/ETP, ABCFRC Plant etc.
Major Challenges:\xef\x83\x98 Effective Management of the whole Supply Chain for critical materials like Charcoal, Hydrated Lime, CSL, Hypo, PET STRAP, Packing Material, Dilute Acetic Acid and other chemicals and managing the inventory effectively as per P&B.
\xef\x83\x98 Ensuring high quality of all Raw Materials and keeping its consistency.
\xef\x83\x98 Timely Finalization of Major RM Contracts by CPC in coordination with Other Units/Other Business.
\xef\x83\x98 Ensuring Safety in Transportation Contracts and enforcing the Plant Safety Norms in the contract and its adherence in real term.
\xef\x83\x98 Strengthening the RM function by developing new Vendors & Transporters, adopting strategic procurement tools etc. in the platform.
\xef\x83\x98 Submit MIS to management for RM, procurement report, CPC MIS, Quality report on monthly basis.

KRA1 Inventory Management To ensure effective Inventory Management as per Planning & Budgeting for the major Raw Materials.To update daily RM stocks to CPC and unit management for proper monitoring and control.
KRA2 Timely process of Contracts/ARC To ensure timely renewals and contract finalization of major RM , ARC & Transportation Contracts.Provide Diesel impact to the transporters as per the Diesel Escalation/De-escalation clause of the contract.
KRA3 Cost Optimization Savings in Procurement Cost of Raw Materials as compared to P&B by incorporating the Pricing Analysis, Execution of Long Term Contracts with better Volume Discounts, Negotiation through RA etc.Further include maximum contracts in Joint Procurements to get the volume advantages.
KRA4 Quality Control Quality monitoring of all Raw Materials and ensure the consistency in better quality by developing new qualitative Vendors, understand the issues in quality of existing Vendors and steps to improve it and avoid frequent rejections.
KRA5 Vendor Satisfaction To clear advances of Raw material and freight with debtors & creditors for recovery & settlement of payment.
KRA6 Ensure timely preparation of GRN of all Raw Material receipts and Timely Payments to the vendors and Contractors as per the Contract/PO terms.
KRA7 Safety Initiatives To take safety Observation round and Enter the same in Enablon.
KRA8 System Improvement Resolve SAP issue related to Material Management
Module in SAP.
