To follow up with customer regarding payment status and attending to any customer complaints. To prepare incentive report w.r.t distributors. In case of incorrigible customer complaints, providing all details for preparation of credit note followed by submitting claim sanction note to accounts section.Job Context & Major ChallengesSince the establishment of GPFPL (erstwhile Soktas) manufacturing plant, OTC has been the main revenue generation channel. However, after realizing the limited growth potential in OTC segment, concerted efforts were made to gain customer base of brands and retailers since 2015. Presently, around 36.7 lacs meters of fabric is produced for around 28 brand customers of GPFPL across India. The B&R segment is the highest revenue generating segment in the fabric sale scenario currently. As anticipated, the OTC segment has witnessed slight saturation but is still the second highest revenue contributor with a production of 22.7 Lacs meters for around 23 OTC customers for GPFPL.
At present, efforts are being made to increase the exports customer base by collaborating with international agents and attending international fabric exhibitions like Premier Vision Paris etc. There is scope of gaining international customers as brands like Ted Baker, Tommy Hilfiger, Mango etc. have already been customers of Soktas Turkey Plant. The unique proposition of GPFPL amongst B&R customers in the market includes collections of exclusive designs with wide range of designs and high quality fabric. Also, design development is done in close collaboration with distributors, thus following the latest market trends. GPFPL is market leader in jacquard designing for premium cotton shirting fabric. The designs, constructions and shade combinations used for jacquard designing are of premium quality and less paralleled in markets across world. Around 65,000 meters of jacquard design fabric is being produced monthly in GPFPL for dispatch to customers. Due to world class production facilities, the produced fabric is of premium quality with rare minimum aberrations. This leads to high fabric utilization in garmenting process, as compared to other competitors. The textile market is prone to negative impacts due to market slowdown. The slowdown in textile industry in 2019 is leading to customers cancelling orders, delaying payments etc. The businesses in such conditions are pressurized to increase credit period for order payment and lower down prices. Also, during such slowdowns, customer footfall and footfall conversion rate decreases in addition to lowering billing amount per footfall. Apart from product offering, the order servicing is also very efficient with over 90% of the orders reaching customers within timeline and in full order size.Challenges
