Key Responsibilities:
• Fleet Management: Monitor and track the performance of the truck fleet, ensuring all vehicles are operational and meet safety standards.
• Maintenance Coordination: Oversee regular maintenance schedules, ensuring timely servicing, inspections, and repairs of vehicles to reduce downtime and enhance fleet efficiency.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze the performance of each truck, including fuel consumption, delivery times, and driver behavior, ensuring compliance with operational standards.
• Inventory Management: Keep records of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for fleet maintenance. Ensure that stock levels are maintained and orders are placed as needed.
• Driver Support: Collaborate with drivers to ensure smooth operations, address issues related to driving practices, route optimization, and ensure adherence to company policies and safety protocols.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of vehicle logs, repairs, expenses, and other relevant documents. Provide regular reports on fleet performance, maintenance schedules, and cost control to management.
• Compliance: Ensure that all trucks and drivers comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including licenses, insurance, and safety standards.
• Cost Control: Help identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements across the fleet, including fuel usage and route optimization.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Proven experience in fleet management or transportation logistics.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in fleet management software and tools.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze performance data and make informed decisions.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety protocols, and legal compliance requirements.
• Basic understanding of budgeting and cost control.
