Job Description

• Maintaining & repairing machines
• Mark the shape and dimensions of a part to be machined by studying blueprints and using measuring instruments
• Check tightness of joints and operation of moving parts, and file or chisel parts to make final adjustments if the fit is not perfect
• Inspect machinery regularly and make any adjustments or repairs needed, by removing any worn or damaged parts to install replacements, by sending a damaged part to the machine shop for repair or by doing the repair work themselves
• Manufacture, repair and fault-find hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
• We are looking to hire a hard-working and skilled fitter to fabricate, fit, and assemble the structural components of various mechanical systems. The fitter's responsibilities include keeping accurate records of all maintenance work done, repairing malfunctioning mechanical systems, and evening out any rough spots on the fabricated components using grinders, hand files, and scrapers. You should also be able to collaborate with other Fitters on large-scale projects.

• To be successful as a fitter, you should be detail-oriented, focused, and adept at interpreting blueprints. Ultimately, an exceptional fitter should be able to safely use hand and power tools as well as demonstrate excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?10,000.00 - ?15,000.00 per month
