Job Title: Fitter : We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fitting and assembling sheet metal components used in various fabrication projects. The Fitter will be responsible for reading blueprints, fabricating parts and ensuring that finished products meet quality standards. Responsibilities: 1. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and technical specifications. 2. Measure, cut, shape and fit sheet metal components to fabricate products according to design requirements. 3. Use various tools and equipment including shears, brakes, punches and welding machines to perform fitting tasks. 4. Assemble fabricated parts to create structures, machinery or products. 5. Weld components together using appropriate welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Spot welding). 6. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. 7. Test assembled products to ensure proper operation and functionality. 8. Troubleshoot issues and make necessary adjustments or repairs. 9. Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. 10. Collaborate with other team members including welders, fabricators and supervisors to meet project deadlines and quality requirements. Requirements: 1. 10th or 12th or ITI or Diploma or equivalent. 2. Proven experience as a fitter in the sheet metal and fabrication industry. 3. Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings. 4. Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques and equipment. 5. Experience with mechanical assembly and troubleshooting. 6. Familiarity with welding processes and techniques. 7. Ability to use hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments. 8. Strong attention to detail and quality. 9. Excellent problem-solving skills. 10. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. 11. Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Vocational or technical training in fitting, fabrication, welding or related field. 2. Previous experience in a sheet metal fabrication workshop or manufacturing environment. 3. Familiarity with CNC machinery and programming. 4. Welding certification.
