Job Overview:

The Fitter will be responsible for the installation, fitting, and adjustment of uPVC windows and doors at customer sites. This role requires hands-on experience in handling uPVC products, tools, and installation techniques, ensuring that all fittings meet high standards of quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation of uPVC Windows & Doors:
• Install uPVC windows and doors according to technical specifications, drawings, and customer requirements.
• Ensure accurate measurement and alignment during installation for a perfect fit and functionality.
• Handle glazing, sealing, and fixing hardware such as hinges, locks, handles, and gaskets.
• Site Preparation & Inspections:
• Conduct site inspections before installation to ensure all preparatory work is completed (e.g., openings, structural integrity).
• Prepare the installation site by cleaning and removing old fixtures if necessary.
• Ensure all safety precautions are taken and tools and equipment are properly set up before installation.
• Adjustments & Finishing:
• Adjust and align windows and doors post-installation to ensure smooth operation.
• Apply finishing touches such as caulking, sealing, and cleaning to ensure a professional look.
• Conduct thorough quality checks on each installation to ensure proper functioning, durability, and customer satisfaction.
• Repairs & Maintenance:
• Perform repairs and maintenance of uPVC windows and doors, including replacing damaged components, fixing seals, and adjusting hardware.
• Address customer complaints related to improper functioning or damages and provide quick and efficient solutions.
• Technical Problem Solving:
• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or fitting issues that arise during installation.
• Work with the technical team to resolve complex fitting challenges or custom installations.
• Health & Safety Compliance:
• Follow all safety guidelines and ensure that installations are completed in a safe manner.
• Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn and safety procedures are followed during the entire installation process.
• Customer Interaction & Communication:
• Communicate with customers in a professional manner, explaining the installation process and answering any questions they may have.
• Provide post-installation advice on proper care and maintenance of uPVC windows and doors.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or modifications promptly.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in fitting or carpentry is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in fitting and installing uPVC windows and doors or related products.
• Strong knowledge of uPVC profiles, hardware, and installation procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?26,458.45 per month
