As a Vice President within the Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis (FRRA) team in our Finance department, you will be tasked with setting, refining, and achieving the firm's objectives on a daily basis. Your responsibilities will encompass the design, implementation, and execution of comprehensive processes that support U.S. Regulatory Reporting, including Consolidated, Capital, Standalone, and CCAR/DFAST/ICAAP reporting, as well as Regulatory Reporting training and exam management. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in advancing wider strategic initiatives across external reporting, such as accountability, error and issue management, manual adjustments, variance analysis, quality assurance, and the target U.S. Regulatory Reporting platform.
Job Responsibilities:
• Ensure accountability for end-to-end reporting process for Standalone Reporting and Surveys, both as the Team Lead/Reviewer and as an Individual Contributor
• Liaise with FRRA Policy on instruction interpretation, NPRs, implementing new forms/instructions, and any new accounting pronouncements
• Collaborate closely with Legal Entity Controllers (LECs), Asset Class Controllers (ACC), and other finance functions during the course of the reporting process, to execute projects that would improve the overall reporting process
• Drive consistency between reporting methodology and processes between (1) the Standalone Reports and other External Reports (FR Y-9C/Call and 10-Q/K), where applicable, and (2) between different LEC Teams across the globe
• Effectively perform and review variance analysis of financial statements and other data to ensure integrity of reporting
• Proactively identify control gaps in the current reporting process, and develop and implement new controls and strategic solutions to remediate
• Proactively identify opportunities for efficiencies by driving automation or streamlining processes
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• U.S. GAAP and relevant U.S. regulatory reporting knowledge. Experience in the financial services industry with an understanding of products and markets in which JPMC operates
• Control mindset, high attention to details and willingness to deep-dive into issues in matrix organization. Strong analytical skills
• Self-motivated Leader; Comfortable leading a team in a dynamic and challenging environment
• Comfortable working with large quantities of data, including strong reconciliation and process management experience.
• Effective communication skills focusing on facts, logic and context (both written and verbal) - significant interactions with LECs, other functions and senior management
• Team player with ability to build rapport and liaise with colleagues at all levels and across functions in a collaborative manner in order to achieve results
• Excellent project management skills with a track record of consistent execution. Ability to manage multiple projects with overlapping deadline. Track record of delivering against high standards and tight timeline. Execution/Delivery-oriented. Structured thinker/Creative Problem Solver
• Results-oriented / delivery focused; ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel in particular)
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Strong background in external financial reporting, 10+ years total relevant work experience (accounting or banking industry preferred)
• CA or equivalent preferred
