About the RoleWe\xe2\x80\x99re looking for a dynamic team player who is driven by results and passionate about industrial electronic products and respective test deliveries. He/She will be working on a range of electricity metering offers with communications, Input/Output capabilities, and more. Direct experience firmware development C/C++, exposure to DevOps, Build System, shell scripting, batch scripting is important and some background in the Agile process is a plus.The position is called Firmware, Senior Design Engineer and will be working in our Advanced Metering business unit, based at Bangalore, and reporting to the General Manager.Description \xe2\x80\x93 External:AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY\xc2\xb7 Good knowledge in embedded C/C++, Assembly/In-line Assembly, MATLAB, IAR, RTOS, and Communication: TCP/IP, MODBUS, SPI, I2C, RS-485\xc2\xb7 Good experience in all aspects of firmware/software engineering design requirements, specifications, initial designing, coding, debugging, and unit testing etc.\xc2\xb7 Hands-on experience in python for firmware test automation\xc2\xb7 Hands-on experience of source code control, bug tracking and embedded firmware development best practices\xc2\xb7 Experience with any debugging tool\xc2\xb7 Hands-on experience of build systems, Linux shell scripting, batch scripting. Exposure to DevOps is added advantage.\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of designing and developing interrupt-driven applications using real time operation systems.\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of networking environment and protocols (TCP/IP, SNMP)\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Intel micro-controller architecturesOther skills:Excellent problem-solving skills, technical passion and driveStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to trouble-shoot and debug issues and customer problems is a big bonusQualificationsB.E/B.Tech EEE/ECE or equivalent
