Introduction: This role supports BX in management of Cyber and Information Risk & Compliance via below mentioned tasks. . Continue to make the environment a safer place to do business by: . Security sign-off of firewall and proxy related change activities . Support Skybox policy configuration with assigned Skybox SME . Adhere to compliance requirements . Providing ad-hoc security advice to projects relating to firewall and proxy activity . Identify areas for improvement . Effectively collaborating with colleagues and key stakeholders to achieve secure solutions What will you be doing Firewall/Proxy Compliance and Reporting - 45% . Become an SME on the Skybox firewall security toolset . Enforce security and control objectives adhering to Standards, Policies and Procedures . Meet the requirements of key internal and external stakeholders where appropriate . Assess change integrity in architecture design, firewall/proxy deployment and rule implementations Security Signoff for Firewall/Proxy change requests - 30% . Perform gatekeeper role for all firewall and proxy infrastructure related change activities adhering to SLA\'s and priorities . Develop and maintain deep knowledge of company security policy and business risk appetite . Identification of potential security risks and minimize security risk exposure to the organization . Proactive involvement with the internal supplier in the sign-off process prior to live deployment attendance of technical forums Service Improvement - 15% . Identify possible improvements/automation possibilities for BAU tasks . Adherence to and further development of security violation processes and procedures . Review new and existing policies affecting Firewalls and Proxies Relationship Management - 5% . Develop and maintain constructive and respectful relationships with internal and external stakeholders . Escalate issues when necessary . Communicate regularly with stakeholders to promote information security awareness and ensure consistency in security policy and procedures . Communicate issue/concerns with stakeholders and participate in the development of solutions able to communicate difficult decisions clearly with compassion, and suggest alternatives or resolution if possible Staff Development - 5% . Maintain awareness of relevant technology developments and security issues What we\'re looking for: Information Security Knowledge - Essential . Detailed understanding of all firewall types . In-depth knowledge of network security knowledge of well-known ports, protocols, and associated vulnerabilities. Able to communicate how protocols traverse a firewall in relation to application behaviour and communicate the risks and vulnerabilities clearly to stakeholders . Deep understanding of the OSI model . Thorough working knowledge of routing and switching technologies . Awareness of cloud technologies . Expert knowledge of firewall management tools . Knowledge of appropriate Principles, Practices and Standards that support the implementation of the Information Security Policy . Knowledge of preferred risk assessment methodologies Information Security Knowledge - Preferred . Some level of experience of Skybox with the ability to become an SME . Good knowledge of Financial Services regulators and applications . Professional Security qualifications . Basic understanding of cryptography and other security features Business Knowledge . Understand relationship between information security and business objectives . Demonstrates a good end to end understanding of the business/IT processes . Understands what information should be communicated and when . When a firewall request cannot be approved be able to apply experience and knowledge to suggest alternative methods for implementation that offer the same solution but do not pose risks to the business . Experience of working in a wider business context with some exposure to other organisations Service Delivery . Security focused while maintaining a close eye on delivery . Ability to prioritize, control and react to an environment with rapidly changing demands/priorities . Experienced in dealing with conflicts and pressure Skills that will help you in the role: . In depth understanding of all firewall types. . Subject matter expert of one of the following: Checkpoint, Juniper or Fortigate . In-depth knowledge of the TCP/IP, networking protocols and Network Security. . Thorough working knowledge of firewall and non-firewall routing and switching technologies . Good knowledge of Financial Services regulatory and applications . Professional qualifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc) . Breadth and depth of understanding of Group goals, direction and business strategy which effectively links to Technology strategies.
