Job Title : Fire Protection Design Engineer

Required Qualifications : BE (Fire) Graduate Engineer only

Job Overview : Responsible for conceptual and detailed engineering design of fire detection and alarm systems, fire hydrant systems, sprinkler systems, fire pumps and fire suppression systems in compliance with NFPA, FM Global and other international standards.

Also responsible for preparing bill of quantities, material selection, performing hydraulic calculations, review of construction drawings and cost estimates for the fire protection systems.

Key Responsibilities : Identifying and categorizing the fire hazard from architectural drawings and project details in accordance with NFPA / FM Global standard

Developing conceptual and detailed engineering design layouts for fire alarm and fire fighting systems

Performing hydraulic calculation for verifying and validating the proposed design

Performing the material take-off and bill of quantities including material selection

Reviewing construction drawings to confirm compliance with proposed design and applicable codes

Attend design review meetings with client / approving authority and obtain approvals of proposed design

Assist site consultant in resolving conflicts and provide solutions without impacting design requirements during installation

Work Experience : Minimum 5-7 yrs experience as a design engineer with reputed consultants or specialist fire contracting companies with demonstrated expertise in fire alarm and firefighting systems

Required Skills ; Strong knowledge of NFPA design codes, in particular NFPA 13, NFPA 14, NFPA 20, NFPA 72

Proficiency in Autocad 2D and 3D

Prior experience of using software such as Hydracad, Sprinkcad or similar for performing hydraulic calculations

Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English with the ability to interact effectively with team members, project teams, clients, and regulatory authorities

Pay: ?60,000.00 - ?100,000.00 per month
