Finxera is looking for a Director of Product Management to manage our product strategy for one of our important products. You would be responsible for product planning and execution all through the lifecycle of the business which is inclusive of gathering and prioritizing requirements for the product, defining the roadmap for the product, and collaborating with other leaders from the product design, engineering, account management and sales teams to ensure that the financial and customer satisfaction goals are met.
In addition to this, you will also ensure that that the companys overall strategy and goals
are supported by those of the product; that the product goals and strategy do not deviate
from that of the business. You will sometimes write and always review functional specs, work with the engineering manager to determine the course of project execution, and help define product roll-out/
adoption strategy.
In short, hands-on experience gathering requirements, designing solutions, working closely with engineering, QA and deployment teams to help deliver product features and with account management, marketing and customers to drive product adoption.
Key responsibilities:
- Define, maintain and in general, be responsible for the execution of the short-term and long-term roadmap for the product. Work with the Product Leadership to prioritize problems or themes to reach the outcomes.
- Be the go-to guy/ face for the product line(s) and maintain continuous communication with stakeholders, customers and technical teams.
- Drive sprint planning, sprint management and sprint delivery for the product line(s).
- Ability to translate complex processes into technical requirements while also managing delivery and operations.
a) Define the outcome for sprints and releases and prioritize the initiatives for the scrum teams. Remove roadblocks to ensure we hit our targets in terms of release delivery.
b) Work with the business analysts, developers and designers to build a product that meets the expected outcomes and market needs.
c) Work with both UX and Development to understand design or technology implications in solution ideas.
d) Ability to measure yourself and the team not just against the product features delivered but also larger impact to the business and customers.
- Work with the product communications team to announce releases, put out release notes and conduct webinars.
- Team management includes managing & mentoring the product and product communications teams reporting to you, including setting their goals and monitoring their success and thus helping to build a world-class scalable team of responsible and process-oriented product managers, business analysts and product communications team.
- Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on strategies and priorities leading to product execution. Advocating for product vision and strategy with senior management.
- Experience developing technology solutions in a fast-paced environment. Must have the ability to understand the technical and non-technical aspects of product development.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering or a related discipline. Having a Masters in Business Administration is an added advantage
- 14+ years of product management and software / IT engineering industry experience
- 6+ years of direct people management experience 6+ years of experience of working in SaaS (software as a service) industry
- Experience leading teams
- Experience communicating with technical and business stakeholders at all levels.
- Must have the ability to influence people at the business unit level.
- Proven record of building, managing and sustaining product organizations, including mentoring resources, enforcing processes and scaling teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
