The Finishing and Checking In charge oversee the final stages of garment production to ensure that each piece meets quality standards before packaging and shipment. This role requires expertise in garment quality control, attention to detail, and team management skills to maintain production efficiency and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervision of Finishing Operations:
Manage daily operations in the finishing department, including pressing, trimming, and quality checks.
Coordinate with production teams to ensure garments are prepared for final inspection according to schedule.
Ensure that finishing standards align with company quality expectations and client specifications.
2. Quality Control and Checking:
Conduct detailed inspections of finished garments, checking for defects, correct sizing, stitching, and finishing quality.
Develop and implement a systematic process for checking garments, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Work with the quality control team to document and address recurring defects, proposing improvements to prevent future issues.
3. Team Management:
Lead and train finishing and quality checking staff on best practices and quality standards.
Assign daily tasks, monitor team performance, and address any issues to optimize productivity.
Conduct regular meetings with the team to discuss performance, quality issues, and updates on production targets.
4. Compliance and Safety:
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by enforcing organizational safety guidelines.
Ensure compliance with quality management systems (such as ISO 9001) if applicable.
Work with HR and safety teams to ensure team members have adequate safety training.
5. Coordination with Other Departments:
Collaborate with production, packing, and dispatch departments to streamline garment flow and avoid bottlenecks.
Coordinate with the design and product development teams to address specific requirements or changes in finishing.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain records of finished goods, quality reports, and any rework needed.
Report daily progress, quality issues, and improvements to the Production Manager.
Track and analyses key performance indicators (KPIs) related to finishing quality and output.
