We design, develop, and host data rich, full featured, and high traffic web and mobile applications for self-directed brokerages, wealth management, financial media, and other global financial institutions.Position SummaryAn entrepreneurial, curious, and results-driven Financial Data Product Owner is needed to join our Strategy and Product team. Our Product Owners work with our platform data and product engineering teams as well as our design and business development teams to define, plan, prioritize and develop capabilities and features that are available for client solutions.Duties & Accountabilities

  • Work closely with Client Teams, Product Management and Data Strategy leadership to understand short and long-term roadmaps, and overall financial data product strategy.
  • Ensure the product roadmap and vision are communicated to the development teams and the roadmap and backlog are kept updated.
  • Utilize both scrum and Lean/Agile methodologies, to interact with multiple departments, acting as bridge between business needs and technical implementation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, both internal and external, to gather and define the requirements, business value and document the scope of the delivery.
  • Keep the roadmap updated and prioritized based on client needs and delivery timelines.
  • Run EPIC envisioning sessions with teams to break down the requirements into manageable smaller stories.
  • Support the development team as a subject matter expert on data and product related questions throughout the development life cycle.
  • Technical understanding of the components, API, data, systems and services and inter- dependencies that make up the product.
  • Present on behalf of agile teams in sprint review, reiterating business value delivered with each work increment completed.
  • Identify key value drivers and key opportunities across products and processes and define strategy for enhancements and process improvements.
  • Develop short-term preventive or detective measures, and leading medium/long-term product improvement initiatives arrived at via close collaboration with engineering, QA, and data support.
  • Coordinate with data engineers as appropriate to design and enable repeatable processes and generate deliverables to answer routine business questions.
Business Competencies
  • 8+ years of work experience with a minimum of 3 years as a Product Owner or Product Manager in an Agile scrum framework.
  • BS in mathematics, engineering, economics, statistics, computer science, information management or related quantitative field.
  • Experience using financial data and analytical processes to drive decision making, with ability to explain how analysis was done to an executive audience.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile development framework, with practical experience to support flexible application of principles.
  • Strong conceptual understanding of data integration technologies and standards.
  • Working familiarity with road-mapping and issue tracking software applications, including Jira.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, SQL, Apigee, API, Elastic Search, MongoDB, and Postman preferred.
  • Understanding of financial markets is preferred.
  • An advocate for data analysis in decision-making, and a fierce promoter of data and engineering best practices throughout the organization. Passionate about empirical research.
  • A team player who is comfortable working with a globally distributed team across time zones.
  • A solid communicator, both with technology teams and with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong interest in FinTech and providing investors with the best digital experience in the financial industry.
