Within Group Finance India, you will be part of Investment Bank Product controlling.
Roles & Responsibilities
Depending upon the team you join, the role and responsibilities may include.

• Financial accounting and controlling tasks (daily PnL, month end close etc) with regards to the assigned areas within one of the teams mentioned above
• Prepare, analysis and review complex calculations, accounting journal entries, various reconciliations, management, and external reporting as per defined book of work.
• Perform analytical review of P&L and BS movements by understanding the business drivers and accounting treatments.
• Build subject matter expertise in responsibility assigned to you.
• Reviewing applicable policies periodically, assessing impact to process and implementing changes
• Execute appropriate controls in the processes, ensure risks and issues in processes are identified, reported, escalated, and mitigated.
• Respond to queries, ad-hoc requests and resolve issues from stakeholders and key business partners.
• Have regular discussions with stakeholders to seek feedback, understand their needs and ensure we are meeting their expectations.
• Challenge current process and suggest process improvements to ensure process efficiency and effectiveness.
• Prepare process documentation and keep them up to date.
• Participate/lead business initiatives as required from time to time and ensure team is complying with the agreed requirements.
• As a senior in the team, you may be required to ensure the team\'s deliverables are submitted timely and with good quality, motivate and inspire other team members and colleagues to improve performance, support the team lead to manage, deliver, and comply with the requirements from senior management as and when requested.

The region employs over 1500 finance professionals across Pune, Mumbai and Hyderabad. If you fulfil any or most of the listed qualifications and skills, you stand a good chance to be part of the Group Finance India team.

• University degree with specialization in accounting and finance / CA / MBA / MCom with 2-6 years of experience in financial services industry and strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts. For role in Valuations control, a degree in Engineering (BE/Mtech) or equivalent can be considered.
• Prior experience of working in accounting, reconciliation and reporting profile including month end analysis and providing commentaries. Knowledge of intercompany billing is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner with global teams.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, keen to develop awareness of other business divisions relevant to own work area.
• Understanding client needs and providing solutions, focus on the results and not just the tasks.
• Inquisitive and interested in learning new topics (e.g., financial markets and products, risk management, complex and specialized financial accounting etc.)
• Strong Microsoft office skills is a must, experience with financial reporting and ledger systems like SAP, BO is beneficial. Working knowledge or interest in VBA macros, Python, Alteryx, Tableau will be an added advantage.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage conflicting situations.
