Job brief
We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller, based out of Pune, to undertake all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, regulatory and tax compliance, working capital management, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. The Controller will be responsible for all legal entities [including foreign subsidiaries]. Responsibilities • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P and GL, Cost Accounting, revenue recognition and monthly books closure.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and MIS
• Order to Cash management: drive collections, DSO
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory and tax related reporting and compliances
• Support month-end and year-end close process, ensure timely closure of audits
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Fortnightly reporting on overall health of the Finance function
• Additional controller duties as necessary including coordination with other functions
Job Requirement
• Chartered Accountant with 10-12 post qualification years of overall combined accounting and finance experience, at least 2 years as Financial Controller. Must have worked in mid-sized IT services companies previously.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting standards and procedures
• Experience with creating financial statements
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
• Good communication skills including presentations to management committee and board
• Team management, coaching and skills development, succession planning for self and team
