About the Role:



The Financial Controller is tasked with leading the financial management of Magnetic FAAC's India operations. As a key partner to the General Manager, reporting the APAC Regional Financial Controller, the Financial Controller will also be responsible to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.


This role is perfectly suited to a candidate with a passion and strong knowledge of the financial requirements of a manufacturing and projects focused organisation, to join our office in Chennai.


What you will do with us:


• Manage and oversee the financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, CAPEX and financial reporting.
• Responsible for all the compliances relating to Ministry of Corporate Affairs, income tax, GST, PF, ESI, etc. as applicable for the industry.
• Collaborate with the General Manager, Sales Managers, Operations Manager in providing strategic financial data relating to their departments of responsibility.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, monitor expenditure and cash flow, and ensuring cost control measures are in place for alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Supporting key stakeholders on the operations side of the business to improve performance, reduce costs and make strong commercial decisions.
• Present reports and analysis to senior management, highlighting key financial metrics and project performance.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
• Critically monitor the company's asset management and stock control.
• Oversee banking requirements including: EFT run, associated payroll payments, and cash pooling.
• Planning cash flow for future periods and reporting cash flow and plans for cash flow to the parent company.
• Supervise accounting operations and business administration functions, such as credit control, invocing and accounts payable.
• Play an active role in managing the ERP system - SAP and lead improvements as required.
• Responsible as Company Secretary, including coordinating with Board of Directors to schedule board meetings and the annual general meeting.


About you:


• To be a serious contender for this position, you must demonstrate broad experience across management and financial accounting.
• You will have a substantial competitive advantage with strong manufacturing industry experience.
• Be passionate about adding value to the operational side of the business.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders will be critical.
• You will have SAP experience and advanced Excel skills.
• Masters in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years' management experience in accounting and financial controlling.
• You will have worked for a global company with an overseas Headquarters.
• Knowledge of local GAAP/IAS IFRS is mandatory.
• You will be proficient in English.
