About The Team



This role is responsible for managing and leading the finance function in India which includes financial accounting, AP, fixed assets and intercompany. This includes engaging and supporting stakeholders and delivering both transactional and strategic initiatives.

What You'll Do



• Lead and develop the finance team in India.
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders and provide excellent and responsive support and service.
• Implement and maintain robust control processes related to AP for all global locations.
• Supervise and ensure the effective and efficient processing of transactional related activities for all global locations.
• Liaise with external auditors for all audit related queries.
• Reviewing month end accounting procedures performed by the team and providing action points for improvement.
• Ensuring that controls are implemented and operating effectively including obtaining approvals in accordance with the Delegation of Authority.
• Maintaining accurate and complete financial, employee, and vendor records.
• Manage the obligations relating to Statutory compliances including but not limited to Income Tax, WHT (Withholding Tax) GST (Goods and Service Tax), SEZ (Special Economic Zone) regulations.
• Engage and manage external consultants as required.
• Act as a point of contact for banking requirements and RBI (Reserve Bank of India) and FEMA (Foreign Exchange Management Act) regulations.
• Coordinate with external regulatory authorities.
• Identify and manage risks, including reporting, monitoring, and remediation / rectification.
• Provide input to the forecasts, budgets, and management reporting as required.
• Assist with transfer pricing, tax audit and other legal matters.
• Managing and leading a team of professionals including activities such as hiring, training, developing, and providing feedback to employees.
• Mentor and share knowledge with others, providing regular, constructive feedback to help develop team members.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders across functions.
• Contribute towards continuous improvement within the Finance Team.

To be successful in this role, your background and experience will include:



• Incumbent should be Chartered Accountant with over 7 years of work experience.
• Having good and sound knowledge of various accounting systems. Knowledge on Workday system will be an advantage.
• Leadership skills including taking accountability for both individual and team tasks
• Understanding of spreadsheets, data analysis, control design, implementation and operating effectiveness and reconciliation procedures
• Extensive knowledge of accounting and management principles.
• Good attention to detail and should have the ability to work to deadlines
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for a broad range of global stakeholders
