Job description:Financial Controller, to manage and improve our organization\'s financial performance and direct our accounting operations. You have to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, and the development of internal control policies and procedures. Finance controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management.Requirements and skills:- Proven working experience as a Financial Controller- 8+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience- Advanced degree in Accounting & Finance.Qualification: CA or CPA or CMA- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures- Experience with creating financial statements- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process- Excellent accounting software user and administration skillsResponsibilities:Financial Planning and Analysis:- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the overall objectives of the business unit.- Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to support decision-making processes.- Monitor key financial metrics and performance indicators to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue RecognitionBudgeting and Forecasting:- Lead the annual budgeting process for the business unit, working closely with department heads and stakeholders.- Prepare periodic forecasts and variance analyses to assess budget performance and identify areas for improvement.- Provide guidance and recommendations to management on budget adjustments and resource allocation.- Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statementsFinancial Reporting and Compliance:- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.- Coordinate internal and external audits, addressing audit findings and implementing corrective actions as needed.- Research technical accounting issues for compliance- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reportingCost Management and Optimization:- Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.- Implement cost control measures and monitor expenses to achieve budget targets and maximize profitability.- Evaluate capital investment proposals and provide financial analysis to support investment decisions.Financial Risk Management:- Assess financial risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to safeguard the financial health of the business unit.- Monitor market trends, currency fluctuations, and regulatory changes that may impact financial performance.- Maintain effective internal controls and compliance processes to mitigate financial risks and ensure the integrity of financial data.- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsStakeholder Engagement and Communication:- Collaborate with business unit leaders, department heads, and cross-functional teams to align financial goals with operational objectives.- Present financial reports, analysis, and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
