What you will be doing
Validation of project documentation of new projects as it approaches to tech feasibility date and update the status of upcoming projects that are not fully approved.
Check project listing for projects nearing completion and request any release notifications for
projects with expected end dates that have passed to submit to the F/A team.
Send out meeting invites for IDSW & Capex Updates for coming cycles
Review monthly accounting entries shared by the accounting team. Review to ensure no missing
projects & identify projects with poor time entry.
Interact with finance leaders, CFO, and Development managers to resolve any questions or open items ( including write-ups)
Meets with organizational unit/department managers/ finance leaders/ development managers to discuss and
establish timelines and methodologies for completing forecast and plan
Upload of forecast into the planning system i.e. HFM
Prepare accruals to be sent to the accounting team
Monitor Accounting month-end close:
Reviewing posting of projects against our forecast model projects Running forecast to actual variances & identifying variances & what is driving the variance
Run standard project template from reporting system
Prepare presentation for actual vs prior forecast variance and its drivers
Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you Bring:
Good understanding of generally accepted accounting principles as well as company accounting policies, procedures, and standards
Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner
Ability to analyze and solve problems using learned techniques and tools
Analytical and statistical examination skills
Ability to understand and apply learned concepts
Attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
Demonstrated ability to plan and accomplish work to ensure critical deadlines are met
Ability to create spreadsheets and demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and accounting software
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients and public
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. A good knowledge of Power BI and Power Query tool of MS office FIS JOB LEVEL DESCRIPTION Career professional role requiring high skill with extensive proficiency. Works independently with only administrative supervision and the ability to overcome major obstacles and recognize early when issues should be escalated or a senior peer needs to be consulted. Wide latitude for independent judgment and is expected to provide guidance and cross-training to others. Effectively communicates with all levels of technical and non-technical personnel. Consults with senior peers on moderate to complex processes to learn through experience. Typically requires a minimum of seven years of professional experience in a finance role or related discipline. Certification is required.
