As a Financial Analysis Professional in our Finance team you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm.
The CBB Finance team in Bengaluru supports the Consumer and Business Banking segment by offering Financial Reporting, Planning, Modelling and Analysis services to various internal customers including Finance and Business Management leads and field finance teams. This position will be part of Real Estate Finance team responsible for providing support for Consumer Bank Real Estate, Global Real Estate and other stakeholder teams. In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of the branch real estate business and financial principles to enable and assess channel performance as well as make recommendations. This role will require to perform proactive analysis on branch performance to provide recommendations on target setting for new branches and help drive critical business decisions by analyzing metrics and designing reports.
Job Responsibilities
• Execute financial modeling for real estate related activities including new builds, relocations, consolidations, branch purchases, property redevelopments and dispositions, with ~$1B in capital spend.
• Own the analysis of existing branch performance to provide recommendations on different funding decisions to Open new branches, consolidation of branches, Purchase vs Lease options and Relocation of branches.
• Designing new reports as per business need and developing processes to automate reports
• Lead automation and other projects related to streamlining the existing and new processes that help in providing key insights to the CFO and evaluate funding decisions
• Develop strong business understanding and key metrics that drive the decision making process
• Maintain complete databases that can be used for subsequent analysis and set-up processes to maintain accuracy
• Summarize the drivers behind branch performance including profitability, break-even, pay-back etc.
• Focus on improving and maintaining high degree of accuracy
• Support any standard reports as well as adhoc requests reporting requests
• Present financial results to leaders in the organization. Constant focus on automating manual process. Develop strong understanding of the models and key metrics that drive the decision making process
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Qualified CA/ MBA or equivalent degree in Accounting/Finance
• Minimum of 6 years' experience in Financial Planning or modeling
• Advance excel skill including VBA and Essbase
• Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation
• Good communication and strong excel skills.
• Positive attitude and demonstrate intellectual curiosity
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to navigate multiple data sets and synthesize into cohesive presentation and recommendations
• Team oriented, inquisitive, critical thinker who anticipates questions from internal clients and senior management
• Ability to multi-task and work autonomously within team environment
