Finance Risk and Compliance, Senior Manager (GG14)




ROLE PROFILE:




The Financial Controls (FC) team is charged with the design and build of a robust financial controls framework for LSEG. This includes scoping, risk identification, design of controls, testing of those controls and serving as a 2LoD function for management. The team belongs to a larger LSEG Finance organization and reports to the Group Controller. The team also plays a meaningful role in ensuring that LSEG is ready for anticipated changes following the UK Corporate Governance and Reforms (e.g. introduction of UK SOX).




The FC team is also charged with ensuring that Finance aligns with LSEG's ERMF (Enterprise Risk Management Framework) and wider group policies which are relevant to Finance.




The successful candidate will be one of the five direct reports of the Head of Financial Controls team. The individual will play a pivotal role as LSEG goes through transformation of its risk management practices. The successful individual will collaborate with the rest of the team, Finance team as well as other risk leads across LSEG, internal and external auditors.




KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead Finance's efforts to align with 2LoD initiatives (e.g. Annual Risk and Controls Assessment, Annual Corporate Certification Process, Quarterly Business Maturity Assessment, Control Enhancement Plan)

Ensure Finance • relevant group policies (e.g. Data Retention Policy Gifts and Entertainment Policy Third Party Risk Management Policy)
• Actively ensure Finance's compliance with operational resilience requirements namely (e.g. Business Continuity Plan (BCP), Business Impact Analysis (BIA), Critical Internal Services (CIS))
• Support to ensure Finance is adheres to the new UK Corp Gov Code
• Promote use of MetricStream (GRC tool)
• Ensure Risk Events and Self-Identified Issues (SIIs) are logged and remediated.
• Lead efforts in developing Finance's Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) which can either be leading or lagging
• Support Finance Leadership Team (FLT) members in their quarterly risk register reviews
• Collaborate and provide support to Finance Risk Champion Community
• Provide training to wider Finance team to cultivate risk culture
• Support wider team with improvement initiatives

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:




Skills:



Required • University (equivalent) degree or qualification in Finance or other related subject matter
• Robust understanding of (a) key Finance processes (e.g. Record to Report, Cash In, Cash Out) and potential risks
• Experience in applying basic risk management principles as well as different risk management and controls frameworks (e.g. COSO 2013, ISO 31000)
• Familiarity with fraud risk factors and controls
• Familiarity with GRC tools (preferably MetricStream)
• Strong oral and written communication skills and effectively engages with peers and management globally
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, highly complex and regulated environment
• Able to operate in a highly matrixed environment and able to adapt quickly
• Ability to understand complex issues outside their experience and expertise and facilitate resolution across multiple functions/navigating across boundaries is essential
• Collaboration and influencing skills
• Good command of Office applications

Preferred
• CRISC Certification or similar qualifications
• Excellent grasp of US SOX requirements
• Ability to fully use PowerBI reporting dashboard tool
• Familiarity IT General Controls Frameworks (e.g COBIT, NIST)
• Familiarity with SOC1 and SOC2 reporting

Experience level:
• 12+ years prior experience in similar role
