Job Description

Finance Officer
Job Purpose:

To oversee and manage all financial activities of the institution and its sister concerned companies ensuring compliance with legal regulations and maintaining financial growth of the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Planning and Budgeting:
• Prepare and monitor the annual budget in collaboration with relevant departments.
• Financial Management:
• Oversee the college's accounts, including revenue, expenditure, and financial transactions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Manage payroll, including faculty and staff salaries, tax deductions, and benefits.
• Accounting and Reporting:
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor cash flow and manage the institution's funds effectively.
• Ensure timely submission of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
• Internal Controls and Audits:
• Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard the institution's financial assets.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure all findings are addressed.
• Compliance:
• Stay informed on all financial regulations and ensure the college is in compliance with local, state, and national laws.
• Ensure timely deposit of tax and other deducted amount for the purpose as per dateline of Statutory Body.
• Ensure adherence to financial policies, including those related to procurement, student fees, grants, and donations.
• Financial Advisory:
• Advise the management team on financial planning, budgeting, and cost control measures.
• Provide financial insights for decision-making, ensuring that funds are used optimally.
• Reporting to Stakeholders:
• Provide regular financial reports to the governing board, management, and stakeholders.
• Respond to queries from departments and external bodies regarding financial matters.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education:
• Bachelor/Master Degree in Commerce (B-Com / M-Com) (Master's preferred).
• Professional certification will be an added advantage.
• Experience:
• Proven experience (3 - 5 years) in financial management, accounting, or related roles preferably in an educational institutions.
• Skills:
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in financial software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems) and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards and taxations.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position.

Pay: Up to ?25,000.00 per month
