We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting accurate financial returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. This position will play a key role in the efficient execution of financial reporting, tax filings, and audits, contributing to the overall financial health of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and file timely financial returns, including VAT, tax returns, and other financial reports as required by law and corporate policy.
• Compliance & Regulation: Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including tax codes, financial reporting standards, and industry practices.
• Analysis & Review: Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or areas of concern within returns. Reconcile any errors before submission.
• Coordination: Work closely with the internal accounting, legal, and tax teams to gather necessary information and resolve issues related to financial returns.
• Audit Support: Assist with audit preparation by providing necessary documents and explanations for financial returns.
• Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements for filing financial returns, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain organized records of all filings and returns for future reference or audit purposes.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or tax compliance roles, particularly in preparing financial returns.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Strong knowledge of relevant software tools (e.g., Excel, accounting software, tax filing software).
• Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or other relevant certifications (e.g., Chartered Accountant).
• Experience working with international financial returns and regulations.
• Familiarity with industry-specific tax rules and reporting requirements.
