Position Overview:
The Finance Executive - Administration will play a critical role in managing statutory compliances, internal audits, tax scrutinies, and other key administrative functions within the finance department. This role demands a detail-oriented and proactive individual with strong knowledge of Indian financial regulations and practices, and the ability to ensure adherence
Key Responsibilities:
• Statutory Compliances:
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory returns (GST, Income Tax, TDS, etc.).
• Monitor changes in regulatory frameworks and update the organization on any new compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with external consultants/auditors for regulatory filings and compliance certifications.
• Ensure compliance with various corporate laws including but not limited to Companies Act, Labor Laws, etc.
• Maintain statutory records and documentation.
• Tax Scrutinies & Assessments:
• Assist with tax scrutiny, assessments, and audits as required by income tax and other authorities.
• Ensure accurate documentation for tax returns and filings, and respond to tax department notices.
• Prepare and submit tax-related reports to internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities.
• Tax Returns and Filings:
• Manage the timely and accurate filing of income tax returns, GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory filings. Prepare and review tax calculations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Internal Audits:
• Coordinate and support internal audits to assess the effectiveness of financial controls and compliance with policies.
• Review and validate financial statements and reports for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Provide recommendations to improve internal controls and mitigate financial risks.
• Facilitate audit processes and respond to audit queries in a timely manner.
• Financial Reporting & Documentation:
• Assist in preparation of monthly/quarterly financial reports, including P&L, Balance Sheets, and other reports as required by the management.
• Ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions and compliance-related activities.
• Vendor Management and Other Administrative Duties:
• Oversee payments to vendors and ensure proper documentation of vendor invoices, payments, and statutory deductions.
• Maintain and monitor records of statutory payments and ensure timely settlement.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses as required by the management.
• Participate in other financial management and administration activities as assigned.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
• Educational Qualifications:
• Postgraduate in MBA (Finance) or M. Com from a reputed University
• Graduate (B. Com) with any Professional qualifications such as CA (Chartered Accountant), CMA (Cost Management Accountant), or any other relevant finance certification is also considered.
• Experience:
• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably in statutory compliance, audits, and tax management.
• Familiarity with Indian tax laws, regulations, and filing processes (Income Tax, GST, TDS, etc.).
• Experience with internal audits and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., ZOHO, Tally, Focus, SAP, QuickBooks).
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of Indian financial laws and statutory compliance.
• Analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
