It manages Venture Capital and Private Equity funds, with investments from across the region in various technology verticals such as FinTech, Logistics, E-Commerce, and others.Role Description:
The Finance Director supervises the timely, efficient, and effective management of the firm's finances, including both the operating company and the funds. The Finance Director is responsible for providing senior management with timely figures and advice on how to best manage the available resources while keeping the company compliant with all applicable regulations.Responsibilities: Manage and oversee government relations and services related to the function.
Learn and implement the rules and regulations from the Capital Market Authority to maintain compliance.
Set up accounts and manage banking relationships for the Company and the funds. Manage the company's Accounts Payable and Receivables. Manage and maintain the company and the funds accounting books. Develop a yearly budget for the company and compare it against the actual financials on a monthly basis. Calculate portfolio companies and Funds\' valuations. Meet the day-to-day operational needs of the funds and the company. Manage Funds operational needs such as custody, admin, and other requirements.
Set up an operational framework for new Funds and establish SPV (including paying fund advisors and preparing for investments).
Set up new funds and provide necessary third-party contracts (e.g., admin, custody, etc.).Support: Work with recruiters to staff the needed roles inside the Finance department when needed. Assist portfolio companies in management tasks such as operations and marketing initiatives.
Gather performance metrics of portfolio companies and define corrective measures where necessary.
Manage and support client reporting periodically. Onboard investors in new funds and ensure the completion of all documentation, ensuring timely capital
writing. Design the strategy and financials of new funds.Role requirements: High degree of professional ethics, confidentiality, and integrity. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Outstanding analytical skills, detail-oriented, proactive and self-motivated. Ability to produce well-designed and professional presentations and documents.
Minimum 8 years of experience in a Finance role, specifically in the investment industry (Private Equity, Venture Capital, Asset Management, Investment Management, etc..). Bachelors degree in Finance or related field. Understanding of financial modelling, return metrics (e.g., IRR) and valuation techniques (e.g., DCF).
Proficient in Microsoft Suite such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Strong knowledge of investments, private equity, venture capital and finance principles.Powered by JazzHR
