Finance Controller - A Retail CompanyJob Title: Finance ControllerReports to: VP FinanceLocation: Pune:You will be responsible for all accounting-related activities, including high-level accounting, managerial accounting, and finance activities including financial reporting, financial statements & analysis of financial data. Additionally, you will be required to collaborate effectively with the management team for review of financial performance.Responsibilities:Accounting Review & Closure- Ensure accurate - monthly, quarterly & annual accounting close processes and reporting.Key areas of focus will include, but are not limited to,- Fixed Assets- Receivables, Debtors Reconciliation- Inventory- Payables- Compliances/taxation i.e., GST, TDS- Ensure timely review and reports on monthly cost accounting, general ledger and balance sheet reviews- Ensure adequate ongoing training in accounting and reporting personnel in applicable accounting frameworksFinancial Reporting- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of financial records.- Present financial reports to executive management- Cash Flow Management- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity needs are met.- Implement strategies to optimize working capital.Financial Planning and Analysis:- Develop and manage the annual/quarterly budget in collaboration with department heads- Conduct regular financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the financial health of the organization.Internal Controls- Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.- Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.Team Development/Leadership- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Requirements:- Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting if you have Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field OR minimum of 5 years of experience if you have a master\'s degree or professional certification (e.g., CA).- Strong understanding of Accounting, Company Laws and Compliances- Demonstrated team management ability, confidence - ability to motivate team.- Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance related issues
