To drive business growth and profitability by partnering the strategic planning and budgeting with accurate forecasts in sync with strategic plans of the Organisation and monitoring expenses vis a vis budget
To ensure timely finalisation of accounts in accordance with robust accounting principles and statutory guidelines and facilitating audit for monitoring compliance
To oversee analysis of business efficiencies and publication of periodic MIS for course correction
Job Responsibilities:
Anchors the strategic planning and budgeting process through the following activities:
Liaises with the Sales and Operation team for business forecasting to derive cost forecast keeping in view evolving resourcing needs
Prepares and finalizes the Annual Budget and tracks variances
Partners accurate revenue generation, optimum cost management and maximization of profits
Ensures accurate Invoicing
Oversees Debtor and Creditors Management
Monitors timely Collection
Ensures Vendor payments within terms of contract
Manages maintenance of optimum Working Capital as well as Cash and Fund Flow
Controls costs without compromising quality
Works with all Heads of Departments to improve efficiencies and improve margins and ROI
Ensures maintenance of books of accounts leveraging digitization
Publishes accurate final accounts for the month, quarter and year as per timelines
Ensures statutory compliances including taxation related compliances
Ensures timely payment of taxes as well as other Statutory payments and disbursements
Ensures on time filing of returns under different Tax Acts like IT, GST, P Tax and RBI Guidelines
Attends hearings and resolves disputes raised by the departments from time to time
Takes responsibility for assets of the Organisation
Maintains Fixed Asset register
Ensures accurate capitalization of assets
Ensures proper allocation and retrieval of assets to employees to enhance efficiencies at the optimum cost
Ensures timely Insurance and Risk mitigation for all assets
Oversees the Legal function through outsourced professional assistance through the following activities:
o Ensures all contracts are vetted
o Ensures Non Disclosure Agreements facilitate data security
o Tracks progress of all legal cases
o Ensures assessment and updation of potential liabilities with respect to pending lawsuits and new legal contracts
o Ensures attendance in all legal cases by professional lawyers
Oversees the Commercial function to ensure the following:
o Ensures all stores accounting is done as per Standard Operating Process and Protocols
o All procurement is duly validated as per commercial protocols
Oversees and facilitates various audits such as Statutory Audit, Internal Audits, Tax Audits
Ensures effective risk management across business verticals through the following activities:
o Embeds system of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and periodic Risk Assessment for corrective action
o Works with all Heads of Departments to improve efficiencies, margins and ROI
Oversees the Information Technology function to ensure preparation monthly MIS with respect to:
o Turnover, Revenue and Profitability
o Budget allocation and utilisation
o Variance analysis and Efficiency ratios
Leads team through implementation of the following people processes:
o Monitors Performance Management including setting individual objectives, periodic review, objective evaluation and effective feedback
o Builds talent through Training Need identification and facilitation of learning and development
o Keeps team motivated through team meetings and other structured communication, Reward and Recognition, Employee engagement activities
• Assists in implementing strategic improvement projects and participates in cross functional continuous improvement initiatives across the Organisation
• Keeps self updated through continuous learning and critical exposure to contribute to current and future business imperatives
• Performs all such duties required for this role as per the changing business requirements and strategic objectives of the Organisation
Incumbent Profile:
Education
CA with 4-8 years of experience
Functional Competencies
Proficiency in Accounting and Accounting standards
Proficiency in analysing numbers
Adequate knowledge of fund management
Proficiency in taxation and other statutory guidelines
