Key Responsibilities
1-Bank Reconciliation:
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and consistent.
Identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly, maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
Develop and implement efficient reconciliation procedures.
Invoice Management:
Verify, allocate, and post details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files from documents such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, check stubs, and computer printouts.
Tally and match invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments.
Streamline the invoice management process to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
General Accounting Duties:
Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
Conduct regular ledger maintenance and journal entries, and oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
Financial Analysis:
Analyze financial information and summarize financial status, preparing and presenting detailed reports on financial performance and trends.
Provide actionable recommendations to improve financial processes and controls.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
Audit and Compliance:
Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all financial practices comply with legal guidelines and company policies.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and promote best practices within the accounting team.
Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Strategic Sourcing and Procurement:
Develop and implement procurement strategies that are aligned with the company's objectives.
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers and vendors to ensure optimal terms.
Vendor Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Monitor and evaluate supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers in a timely and effective manner.
Cost Management:
Develop and manage the procurement budget.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement measures to reduce procurement costs.
Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed of market trends and pricing.
Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and reduce excess inventory.
Coordinate with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
