• implement accounting controls and manage their governance
• compile and analyze financial information for Finance and Regulatory & Disclosure reporting
• reconcile trade capture system feeds to the general ledger and manage journal entries
• collaborate on continuous improvement of quality, efficiency and effectiveness of controls
• Delivery of BAU (Reconciliation of ledger balances with trade level information) per Group IFRS, US GAAP, CH GAAP and Local GAAP
• Investigating and analyzing the reason of variances between ledger balances and trade repository
• Ensure that a high-quality standard is maintained within the team
• Interact closely with various teams within Finance to facilitate smooth information exchange between these groups during the critical month end period

UBS RecruitingYour teamYou\'ll be working in the FDM STAR-GL team in Pune. We ensure that STAR and Ledger is in sync with good quality of trade level data for all GAAPs, products, and entities. This benefits our Accounting and Regulatory reporting team. As a business analyst, you\'ll play an important role in investigating and analyzing the reason of variances between ledger balances and trade repository to maintain high-quality data standard requirement.Your expertise

• Accountancy qualification / bachelor\'s / master\'s degree or equivalent in accounting or related field
• ideally 2-4 years previous experience in a similar role focusing on data analysis, financial reporting and reconciliation
• Computer literate, with a good understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Power point
• demonstrated knowledge of reconciliation or financial reporting or deep understanding of sub-ledger and ledger data flows
• know-how to develop a robust set of controls to the financials (cost and revenue) of a global business
• analytical and methodical, with great attention to detail
• excellent communicator who can adapt style to audience
