We're currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Vice President, Data Utility Analyst
Citi has embarked on a multi-year Finance Transformation initiative to implement a new Global Financial Accounting and General Ledger platform that provides a daily ledger in every legal entity, linking ledger balances and contract level reconciliations to our daily settlement records and contractual commitments. The Strategic Ledger program as it is named, selected Oracle Cloud as the technology platform of choice, after a rigorous technical and functional assessment of the firm's current ledger platforms against leading industry solutions. The new platform provides enhanced technical capability and supports our finance transformation strategy and realization of our Target Operating Model. The outcome will be a robust global process, governance, and controls to ensure consistent and materially accurate, complete, and timely ledger data and results.
Data Analyst specialist will be responsible in the delivery of critical transformational initiatives related to Data sourcing, Data mapping, Data analysis and reconciliation to be used for regulatory and reporting purposes, system enhancements and outbounds to downstream systems.
• Perform reconciliation, ensuring correct attributes are sourced from Product Processor
• Sourcing financial & contract data from source systems ensuring thorough Inbound/ Outbound Analysis
• All country specific configurations in system
• Drive the identification of data sources and data requirements to feed into the Ledger
• Handle issues pertaining to data reconciliation, data validation, data quality between Strategic Ledger, Upstream & Downstream systems and ensure timely escalations as and when required
• Create mappings & provide input for mapping transformations required between legacy and strategic attributes.
• Provide input to conversion functional design & provide meaningful explanation of variances.
• Analyze and investigate data sets between converted data and legacy data.
• Perform fit/gap analysis and identify solutions for gaps and opportunities for optimizations and improvements to system and process.
• Create/Review of Business Requirement & Functional Requirements Documents (FRD)
• Manages the identification of risks which impact program delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.
• Participate and support the discovery & testing phases of the project including:
+ Escalate potential issues identified in working group sessions.
+ Perform impact analysis
+ Review discovery documentation provided by business line
+ Active leadership in working group sessions, planning and various reviews sessions to identify and facilitate remediation of detailed action plans and commitments to Strategic Ledger project.
+ Participate in cross-functional working groups to drive consensus and resolution for agreed actions and targets
+ Responsible for reviewing updated project plans and key milestones related to project completion
+ Facilitate external subject matter experts
+ Ensure the project plans and action items are up to date and published to stakeholders.
+ Update operational procedures and control documentation as and when required for workstream
+ Be responsible for ensuring a comprehensive approach to root cause analysis and remediation.
Qualifications & skill sets:
As a successful candidate, you'd ideally have the following skills and exposure:
8+ years of relevant experience, in financial services with a focus on accounting, transformation and program delivery
Previous experience in the implementation of General Ledger systems
Understanding of accounting rules and standards for financial reporting.
Knowledge of Oracle, SAP or similar ledger platforms is a plus
Ability to perform business analysis, write business requirements and present ideas to audiences at all levels.
Organizationally savvy; understands systems, management processes, knows where to go for information and how to interpret.
A strong track record in driving global change within a finance function
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
In depth knowledge of banking products / systems preferred.
Education:
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management or other business related field is required
