Job Description

The Field Technician will be responsible for performing on-site installations, repairs, and maintenance of equipment, as well as troubleshooting technical issues. The ideal candidate will be customer-service oriented, possess excellent technical skills, and be able to work independently in the field. They should also be comfortable working in various environments, such as client offices, homes, industrial sites, and outdoor locations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot equipment and systems at customer locations.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
• Diagnose technical problems and determine the best course of action to resolve issues.
• Provide technical support and training to customers on the operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Document service visits, including reports on issues identified, steps taken, and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards during installation and repair tasks.
• Work with the support team to escalate complex issues when necessary.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory.
• Travel to various locations as required to complete service requests.
• Collaborate with internal teams and communicate effectively with customers to provide quality service.

Qualifications :

• Education : High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in a relevant field is a plus.
• Experience : Proven experience in field service or technical roles related to the industry (telecommunications, IT, mechanical, etc.).
• Technical Skills :
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing hardware, software, or mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Familiarity with specialized tools and equipment.
• Soft Skills :
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Flexibility to travel and work in various environments, sometimes under tight deadlines.

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs).
• Willingness to work in outdoor and confined environments.
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends, if necessary.

Certifications (Optional) :

• Industry-specific certifications such as CompTIA A+, Cisco Certified Technician (CCT), or other specialized training may be required depending on the role.

Travel :

• Regular travel to client sites is required. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?9,000.00 - ?12,000.00 per month
