Field sales executive's job description includes selling products or services to new and existing customers, and working to meet sales targets:
• Selling Use various methods to promote products and services, including product demonstrations, cold calling, and door-to-door sales
• Customer service Act as a point of contact for customers, answering questions, providing advice, and maintaining customer accounts
• Sales targets Create and work towards sales targets, both individually and as part of a team
• Reporting Prepare and submit sales reports, including customer acquisition, forecast estimates, and competitor activity
• Customer information Collect customer contact information, such as phone number, email, and address
• Sales strategies Develop and evaluate sales strategies and methods, and research and forecast sales
• Administrative tasks Direct and supervise sales representatives, and work with other departments
• Customer needs Evaluate customer needs and desires, and identify and prepare sales proposals that meet those needs
• Competitors Monitor competitors, their products, and marketing strategies
