About Organisation: LEPRA Society is an organization working for people affected by Leprosy, lymphatic filariasis, TB, HIV/AIDS & other NTDs, Eye Care and governed by a board comprising of distinguished individuals from across India.


About the project :



LEPRA Society established a referral center with the support of the State NLEP Unite Government of Madhya Pradesh since April 2023 in the premises of District Hospital Alirajpur because District Alirajpur consistently reporting very high leprosy burden and a large number of disability cases. In the neighboring district Jhabua, which is also endemic for Leprosy, there is a dire need to restore functional ability of persons affected with leprosy, disability prevention and medical rehabilitation. The referral center provides the following services to persons affected with leprosy .in Alirajpur district of Indore division


• Identification and treatment through In-door Patients Department and OPD services.
• Prevention of disability through comprehensive care
• Referral and linkages with other districts Hospital NLEP unit for treating complicated cases
• Awareness activities in the every block of district Alirajpur.
• To provide specialised protective footwear
• Physiotherapy and counselling
• Ulcer care and treatment.
• Linkages and referrals of cases for RCS St. Joseph's Leprosy Centre, Sanawad District Khargone.

What you would do ():



Job description of field coordinator -


• Supervision and monitoring of the block coordinators.
• Ensure quality service with help of physiotherapist, Block coordinators and technicians.
• Timely report submission with case study, line list of all beneficiaries, narrative reports and data as per the project need.
• Implementation of project activities as per the action plan.
• Liaising with district authorities of GHC system, NLEP, social justice department & livelihood concerned department.
• Prepare monthly action plan for project activities implementation including monitoring and supportive supervision.
• Data and record validation during the field visit.
• Prepare tour plan and maintain the daily data, vehicle log book and compile reports as per the formats and timely submissions.
• Provide training in self-care practices to the patients, families and communities.
• Organize integrated POD camps for leprosy and LF with coordination of concern team.
• Plan for the awareness campaign for leprosy and LF during camps and field visits
• Distributions of MCR footwear & self-care kit with health education of affected parts.
• Capacity building to GHC staff for suspects of leprosy and LF.
• Establishing linkages with health services and social benefit schemes for leprosy and LF.
• Any Other tasks assigned by Line Manager


Qualification and Experience


Graduate in Social Science /MSW


• 3-4 years in development sector preference for experience in health domain


Required skills:

• Primary- Good communication skills & good physiotherapy & practical knowledge.
• Secondary - Computer knowledge, case study writing and team work.


Remuneration : Rs.16,500 (CTC) per month
