Job Title: Field Coordinator


Location: Harichandanpur, Kendujhar, Odisha


Reports to: PMU Head, Odisha


Employment Type: On-Site, Full-time


Band: FTE



Job Summary:


The Field Coordinator will play a crucial role in the successful implementation of the agriculture-Nutrition Convergence intervention in Harichandanpur. This intervention aims to integrate agricultural production with nutritional delivery in public programs to enhance nutritional outcomes, support local agriculture, and promote economic empowerment. The Field Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating Field level activities working closely with implementation partners, producer collectives and other stakeholders.



Key Responsibilities:


•Field level Coordination and Management: •


• Oversee day-to-day project activities to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.


• Coordinate and provide specialised support to producer collectives, farmers, SHGs and Producer Groups


• Provide key inputs from field levels for continuous improvements of policies and guidelines



•Stakeholder Engagement: •


• Assist Project Coordinator in coordinating with implementation partner, Line departments and other stakeholders.


• Organise periodic meetings at village, GP and project area levels



•Data Collection and Reporting: •


• Coordinate field level data collection activities ensuring real-time project data getting updated in the systems


• Help in preparing and submitting periodic reports related to project progress to various stakeholders.



•Behavioural Change Communication & IEC: •


• Disseminate Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials at the grassroots level


• Promote behavioural change through strategic communication initiatives targeting school staff, Anganwadi workers, and community members.



Essential Qualifications:


•Education: • Masters'/ Bachelor's degree in agriculture/horticulture/environment/sustainability/ rural management or related fields from a recognised institute.



•Experience: • At least 2 years of overall work experience preferably in social sector. Freshers with outstanding academic records and internship experiences may also apply.



•Skills •:


• Strong coordination skills.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Proficiency in document writing.


• Familiarity with local agricultural practices and public nutrition programs.


• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.



Preferred selection criteria:


• Experience working with government departments and local communities.


• Knowledge of the Odia language and local context of Harichandanpur/ Keonjhar


• Previous experience in capacity building and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
