### Position Summary

The Field Assistant will support the implementation of regenerative agriculture and carbon farming initiatives. This role involves fieldwork, community engagement, data collection, and assisting in training programs. The ideal candidate is passionate about sustainability, agriculture, and climate solutions and enjoys working directly with farmers and rural communities.

### Key Responsibilities

1. Field Operations :

- Assist in the implementation of regenerative farming practices, such as cover cropping, crop rotation, composting, agroforestry, and soil restoration.

- Provide on-ground support to farmers, ensuring they have the tools and resources to adopt sustainable practices.

- Conduct field demonstrations and trials.

2. Data Collection and Monitoring :

- Collect soil, crop, and environmental data to monitor project impact.

- Maintain accurate records of field activities and farmer participation.

- Assist in preparing progress reports and presentations.

3. Community Engagement :

- Build strong relationships with local farmers, cooperatives, and community members.

- Facilitate workshops and training sessions on regenerative agriculture practices.

- Act as a liaison between the NGO and the farming community.

4. Logistics and Administration :

- Coordinate the distribution of seeds, tools, and other farming materials.

- Support in organizing events, meetings, and field visits.

- Ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols during field activities.

### Qualifications and Skills

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Agriculture, Environmental Science, or a related field.

- Practical knowledge of regenerative agriculture and/or carbon farming principles.

- Previous experience in fieldwork or working with farming communities is preferred.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.

- Basic understanding of data collection and analysis tools.

- Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor work.

- Fluency in [local language] and [English] is a plus.

- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively.
