The role will be located at our office in Bangalore. The FAE role is an important position responsible for both pre- and post-sales support of MACOM RF semiconductor portfolio in India. Pre-sales tasks include working with the Sales, Product Marketing & Business Development teams securing design wins with MACOM products, delivering technical presentations, demonstrating MACOM technology, responding to technical inquiries and helping to define a winning product pitch. Post-sales tasks include hardware and software design support, lab debug, training, and helping to ensure a smooth ramp to volume production. The successful individual will have a strong background in RF Microwave technology and in particular RF Power, RF Analog/Small Signal and other complimentary technologies fitting the Telecommunications and A&D markets.Primary Job Functions

  • Regular site visits to existing customers and new customers
  • Develop the best technical and commercial solution for a given project.
  • Identify new design and product upselling opportunities
  • Align customer design requirements with MACOM products and technology
  • Provide guidance and input for customer proposals
  • Give technology demonstrations with MACOM evaluation boards and reference designs
  • Manage and maintain MACOM\'s engineering lab in Bangalore
  • Assist customers with architecture, schematic and layout activities during design
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with your customer base.
  • Provide onsite support to quickly isolate and resolve hardware problems during design & development
  • Train customers, channel partners and distributor FAEs on the benefits and features of MACOM products
  • Strongly advocate for MACOM products and technology
  • Ability to travel internationally to receive technical training
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor\'s Degree (Masters preferred) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering specializing in RF Microwave.
  • 5 - 10years of experience of systems design, hardware product validation and characterization for telecommunications or aerospace & defense applications. Experience as FAE in the semiconductor industry would be an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with RF lab equipment
  • Possess technical skills to complete microwave measurements for troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge in tuning high-power amplifiers and circuit optimization
  • High-power RF experience required with either GaN HEMT, Si LDMOS or GaAs MESFET, GaAs pHEMT
  • Excellent problem solving and debug skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication (must be fluent in English)
  • Self-motivated with ability to multi-task and work independently
